I can’t believe that another ski season has passed. I could not be more happy about my season. Coming back from a bad knee injury and I was able to ski almost everyday through out the winter. That is my biggest achievement this year. My hard work paid of. I’m really happy about my season. I had a plan before coming in to this winter and I achieved it almost. I filmed a lot more this season, had some really good weeks with Mattias Fredriksson and that usually pay’s of ;) I won 1 contest witc was really big for me after I hurt my knee. The World Cups did not go as planned but I guess everything can’t be 100 % after an injury :(

Thanks to all my sponsors, Pepsi, Völkl, Marker, Shred, Slytech, Peak Performance, Oakley, Leki, Kombi, Dalbello, New Era

On the podium again!

First of allt I went to Colorado right after new year’s to start skiing big jumps again. It felt great jumping again and my knee was holding up pretty good :)

We had our first World Cup in Copper 2 weeks ago. It was pretty exciting to compete in my first WC ever. I had a really mellow run since I only had 4 days of jumping before the contest. It went quite alright during practice, with a pretty decent run I guess. Though being the first contest after my injury, I was a little bit nervous, and I ended up falling both of my runs. Anyway, still happy that I could compete again, after 8 months of rehab! I stayed in Colorado for another week after the contest to ski as much as I could, before I had to leave for a Big Air contest in Gerlos, Austria.

I got to the event with no expectations at all. I was just looking forward to compete in a big air again. It all ended up great; skiing pretty well and won the contest :) I couldn’t believe it! After all the hard work I put in this summer and fall, I was on top of the podium again.

Bad picture. But I don’t care ;)

I’ve got two new sponsors after new year’s wich I’m supper happy about.

Peak Performance and Shred. Two of my favorite brands in the ski industri so I couldn’t be more excited.

That’s not a Shred helmet… I’ve got my new helmet when I arrived in Austria. Here it is:

Of course it’s a Pepsi logo on it aswell ;)

Flying back to Austria tomorrow to compete in a pretty cool slopestyle event. Can’t wait ;)

I just wanted to let everyone know how my knee is doing and what I’m up to.

My knee:

I went to my doctor about a month ago andI got the very good news that my knee was almost a 100 %. Which I’m super happy with. Or I think I was more happy with that my hard work had paid of.

I still have about 2-3 months before I can ski exactly as I did before the injury. But I don’t have to see my doctor anymore, now it’s up to my physiotherapist.
Which feels really good because I can really trust her and she has worked with all the best skiers from sweden.
Me and my physiotherapist has decided to work even harder october out and then start skiing. Which I can’t tell you have great that feels. When I got in to the hospital in april they sad I couldn’t ski until after new years. And now I can start skiing in november. I’m going to start skiing at first for like build more muscle. That meaning only “skiing” no jumps. But I don’t really care. I’ve been watching ski movies almost everyday since my injury and all I want is to be out there again. Even if it means no jumping..
Today it’s the 1st of november and I have booked a flight to Innsbruck on the 4th. So that means that everything is going as planned and I will ski next week :)
I could not have a better start of the season then this,

Thanks Åka Skidor for the cover and the little extra motivation for this season. And of course thank you Mattias Fredriksson for being awesome at taking pictures.
Peace,
Oscar (super happy to be skiing soon) Scherlin

Yesterday when Paddy, Fabio and I went to Laax to jump the trampolines and I hurt my knee :( I was not allowed to jump because I didn’t go to a class before, that you have to do. So I was really bored and did some flips on the floor instad. When I did one backflip I rotated too slow and landed on my knee’s. It hurt a little bit but I did not think any more about it.

We went for dinner and played bowling that night (Paddy won twice) and my knee started to hurt really really bad. I could barely sleep last night and I really felt that I needed to see a doctor the next morning (today). Paddy drove me to a private clinic in Imst and the doctors looked at the knee and I had MRI and everything. After a while the doctors said that my lower ACL was broken (the one in the back PCL?)… I don’t really now the name in english ;)

So I’m flying to Stockholm tomorrow morning to see my doctor and see what he says about rehabbing and stuff. I’m hoping for the best but I don’t think it’s to bad.

Toady were driving t0 LAAX to go to the trampolines.  Haven’t jumped on a trampoline in a while, So I’m excited.

We went up to the mountain with big expectations today. The weather looked really good but as soon as we got the mountain we realized that the weather was terrible. Well, it got way better in the afternoon and we skied a bunch around the ski area. It was some fresh pow so I really had a good time :)

Me and Paddy left Courmayeur this afternoon to Verbier. Were going to stay here over the night before we go to Crans-Montana in the morning. Our friend Nico Vuignier have built a sick jump there so were going there over the weekend. I hope the jump is sick because I have some new tricks in mind ;)

We haven’t skied for two days now. The weather gods are not on our side :(

As soon as the weather is crap it’s not much you can do because you have to stay at the same place until the weather get’s better. So you get the shoots that you want. So it’s alot of time in front of your computer ;)

I really hope we can shoot the thing we built tomorrow, but you never now. Come on SUN!

The weather cleared up and we had a heli booked. It was pretty cool to be in a helicopter again without morfin in my body ;)

The snow wasn’t really what we expected  it was really wind packed. But we found a really cool feature that we built and hopefully the weather is good for tomorrow so we can shoot it.

We are really enjoying our selfs here in Courmayeur. We live in a super sweet chalet and we have a hugh spa and stuff, so I can’t really complain ;)

The weather wasn’t the best today so we decided to take a day of. Me, Paddy and Andrea (the man) checked out the town. It’s a really cool town but no people at all. The season is done here I think. The weather look’s good for tomorrow so we are taking the heli to see our options around the mountain. Hopefully we find something awesome :)

It’s time to pack my bags again. This time i’m going to Courmayeur, Italy with the Legs Of Steel crew. I’m so excited to hang out with the boys again and hopefully get some good footage :)

Alot of people have asked me about my shoulder and it feel’s good now after a week of not doing anything. I couldn’t ski as hard as I wanted at JOI because of my shoulder, but it feel’s better now. So I hope a can ski a 100 % this last 5 weeks of skiing.

I found a pretty good camera so expect alot of photos in the future,
